Hey everyone! I'm really stuck trying to open a single port on my TP-Link Archer MR600 router. I've put in a lot of effort so far, but nothing seems to be working. Here's my situation:
- My ISP has confirmed that none of their ports are blocked, so everything should be fine on their end.
- I'm using a public static IP address.
- Importantly, I'm set up with a wired WAN connection, not LTE.
- I've attempted to set up port forwarding several times, experimenting with different ports and protocols.
- I even disabled the router's firewall, but I still can't get it to work.
- With the firewall on, I created specific allow rules too.
- I've tested everything from both Windows 11 and Linux (Steam OS), and got the same results.
- I turned off the firewalls on both OSs and tried adding allow rules, but again, nothing changed.
- To make sure I've done everything correctly, I've rebooted the router after each change and confirmed that the rules are in place.
- However, when I try to ping my IP from outside, it works perfectly fine, so I know the public IP is accessible.
Despite all this effort, the port still doesn't appear open when I check it on sites like canyouseeme.org. Anyone out there faced this issue with the MR600 or similar routers? Is there something I'm missing? Any help would be truly appreciated!

Have you tried setting a DMZ to one of your device's IP addresses? It opens all ports, so it’s great for testing purposes. Just remember to use it carefully since it exposes that device completely!
I did try DMZ, but unfortunately it didn’t have any effect.
