I recently upgraded the RAM in my computer from 5.6k to 6k. My setup includes an i7 14700KF processor on an ASUS TUF Gaming Z790-Plus Wi-Fi motherboard, with 32GB of Corsair Vengeance RGB DDR5 running at 6000MHz. After updating my BIOS to the latest version, all my settings got reset, including the RAM speed. I set the RAM speed back to 6k using the XMP profile and pressed 'reset to default settings' for everything else to ensure nothing was overlooked. After saving and booting the system, I'm now unable to sign in; it says my PIN is unavailable and prompts me for a password instead. I've tried my Microsoft password multiple times with no luck and even attempted to reset my password, but it asks for a disc key. Booting in safe mode with networking also didn't help. What steps can I take to regain access to my PC?

When you update your BIOS, it can reset a bunch of settings beyond just the RAM speed, including Secure Boot and other configurations. Double-check those settings in the BIOS and make sure Secure Boot is enabled and any Compatibility Support Module (CSM) settings are configured correctly. This might help resolve the issues you're facing with accessibility.
I’m not that tech-savvy, honestly. I think the previous owner might have fine-tuned those settings for me without me knowing. What even are SVM, RAID, secure boot, and platform keys?

Does this also relate to me hitting the reset all to default besides just the RAM settings?
