I recently had to use the warranty on my monitor because it had some issues. Unfortunately, they didn't have my specific model in stock, so I was given a choice of three other monitors. I'm looking for some recommendations on which one to pick. Here are the options:
* VG249QL3A
* VG259QR
* VY279HGE
My old monitor was the Asus VG249Q 24" 144hz, and it had a bad backlight that made it hard to see in darker areas of games like Kingdom Come 2. I'd like to avoid that issue in my new monitor. I also have another 24'' monitor, so I'm leaning towards the two 24-inch models for size consistency. However, if the 27-inch model is significantly better, I'm open to considering it. Any advice?

For the options you have:
**VG249QL3A** is probably your best bet. It's a 23.8" IPS with 180Hz refresh rate and has Freesync premium, which is great for smooth gaming. The 27" VY279HGE is tempting, but I’d recommend sticking with a 24" or 24.5" model. The pixel density might not look as sharp at 1080p on a larger screen, especially if you're sensitive to that kind of thing.
I'd personally go with the VG249QL3A too. The fast IPS technology is a solid upgrade, and that 180Hz really enhances the gaming experience. Trust me, you’ll notice the difference!
If I were in your shoes, I'd take the 27" monitor. I switched from a smaller FHD to a WQHD and it's been a game-changer for me. But keep in mind, the 27" is still FHD, so the pixel density won't be as great as you'd hope.
Yeah, but the 27" being only FHD might make it look a bit blurry if you’re used to higher pixel density. Just something to consider!

I totally agree! I had a 27" at 1080p and wasn't impressed with the resolution. The clarity just wasn’t worth it for me.
