I just built a new PC with a 9800x3D CPU, an MSI x670e motherboard, and TEAMGROUP T-Create Expert 32 GB RAM, while reusing my old GPU (RTX 3070) and power supply (Corsair SF750). After upgrading on Tuesday, I started facing serious issues; when I log in, I often encounter a Blue Screen of Death (BSOD) or the screen goes black. Occasionally, I don't even get past the login screen before the BSOD or black screen occurs. Initially, I didn't have these problems, but starting Thursday, it took up to three restarts to boot stably, and today it took over six! Notably, my PC has always been stable past the login screen.
I've tried testing with one RAM stick at a time, disabling the EXPO profile by reverting to 4800MHz, and resetting the CMOS. My RAM model is compatible with the motherboard according to MSI's website. I'm wondering where to go from here! My motherboard and RAM are still returnable, but the CPU is only replaceable if defective. Do you think I should try getting different RAM? Also, I've mostly seen the CRITICAL_PROCESS_DIED error code and once got a kernel error, but I can't find any dump files to analyze. Any advice is appreciated!
