Hey everyone! I just got a KOORUI G2711P monitor and thought there was a protective plastic film on the screen. While trying to peel it off, I found it really tough and it looked grayish underneath. I'm really worried—did I damage my monitor?

Yikes! Definitely check the thickness as others said. If it’s just a flimsy film, your monitor should be fine. But if it’s sturdy, keep your fingers crossed! Sometimes self-inflicted damage isn’t covered by warranty, so hopefully, you don’t have to worry about that. Let us know what happens when you turn it on!

No worries too much yet! The best-case scenario is you just removed a protective film. But if it feels like you peeled part of the screen instead, that could spell trouble. Try to assess the thickness—if it’s soft like a phone screen protector, it’s probably just a film. If it feels sturdier, you might've peeled off the actual display. Check your box or manual for info on protective films! Good luck, and let us know how it goes!

Hey! It sounds like you might've just removed the protective layer, which isn't a big deal. I had a similar experience, and I'd recommend turning on the monitor to check for any display issues. If everything looks good, it’s likely just a film! Don't stress too much; just be careful next time you try to peel something off.
