Help! I Can’t Connect to the Internet After Changing My PC Settings

Hey everyone! I'm in a bit of a jam here. I was playing around with my PC's IP and DNS settings, and now I've completely lost internet access, even though I'm still connected. The troubleshooter says I'm connected, but none of my apps like Discord, Steam, or even my browser are working. When I try to search online, I can see the results, but clicking on any link leads to a connection timeout. All other devices at home work fine, so I think the issue is with my PC settings. I've tried restarting my router and my PC, and I've also tried resetting the configurations I messed with, but nothing seems to work. I really need some guidance here!

It sounds like you need to reset your network settings on your PC. That's the best move since it's the only place you've made changes. Go into your Settings, look for Network & Internet, and select 'Network Reset.' This should help clear up any issues caused by the changes you made.

You might want to consider undoing the changes you made manually. Make sure both the IP and DNS settings are set to automatic. If you’re having trouble finding these settings, just go to the Network Connections in Control Panel. Then right-click on your connection, select Properties, and check the settings in the Internet Protocol Version (TCP/IP) settings.
