What’s the Best Car Tracking Device I Should Consider?

I think I need a tracking device for my car. My significant other goes out at night for several hours, claiming he needs some peace to clear his head. He leaves around 1 AM and returns by 7 AM, saying he likes to go to the beach, which is just ten minutes away. But I have my suspicions about what's really going on. We both use Android phones, so tracking through our phones isn't an option. How effective would a car tracker be, and what suggestions do you have for one?

Going the tracking route might come off as really intrusive. Have you thought about just talking to your partner about your concerns? It could be a more straightforward solution.

I get that it's tough, but seriously, maybe try to have a conversation instead of going for the tracking route? Trust is key in any relationship, and tracking could cross some lines you might not want to if things go sideways.

Car trackers can definitely be useful, but they're not foolproof. Most operate using GPS and cellular data, so their accuracy really hinges on your location and signal quality. You'll find battery-powered models last longer if they check in less often, but then you miss out on real-time tracking. Hardwired ones are more reliable, but keep in mind they might be more noticeable. Plus, it’s crucial to think about the ethical implications—tracking someone without their consent can lead to trust issues.
