Help! I Can’t Download Apps Because of an Unwanted $250 Subscription Charge

I'm currently learning a new language using Duolingo, and I've been tempted by their free trial offers for the subscription service in the past. Usually, it reminds me to cancel before I get charged. However, I think I missed something and now I'm facing a $250 charge on my account that I can't afford as a university student. This situation is preventing me from downloading any apps. I've tried to request a refund, but there was no actual purchase made, so they wouldn't process a refund request. What's the best way to handle this?

Welcome to the real world! Remember, you can cancel a trial anytime and still use it until the end of the trial period without being charged again.

One option is to pay the $250 and immediately request a refund. It's a bit of a hassle, but it may be your best shot.

I gotta say, waiting for an app notification to cancel is risky. If you're sure you want to cancel, just do it right away in your account settings.
