Help! I Changed My MSConfig Settings and Now I’m Stuck in BSOD Loop!

Hey everyone, I recently watched this Instagram reel recommending that I change some settings in the MSConfig menu for my Windows 11 laptop. Specifically, I maxed out the core count in the boot menu to utilize all my CPU cores. Unfortunately, now I'm stuck in a blue screen of death (BSOD) loop and my laptop keeps force restarting. Does anyone know how I can fix this?

Honestly, it might just be time to consider reinstalling Windows. Sometimes these changes can lead to bigger issues, and a fresh install might save you a lot of hassle. Just remember to back up whatever you can first!

Yeah, I think I learned my lesson the hard way on this one.

You could try to boot into Safe Mode to revert those changes. But if Safe Mode isn't working for you, then it might be a sign that a full reinstall is the way to go. Good luck!

Safe Mode didn’t help, so I'm leaning towards the reinstall.

First off, make sure to check for any dump files that can help you analyze the issue. If you can get into Windows or at least into Safe Mode, look for minidump files in C:WindowsMinidump and upload them to a file-sharing site. We need those for a better diagnosis of the BSOD problem! Also, if you're not seeing any dump files, make sure to follow guides to change your dump settings to Small Memory Dump. That can really help us out!

Gotcha! I'll check for the dump files and see if I can upload them. Thanks for the tip!
