I uninstalled NVIDIA from my display adapters on Windows 11, thinking it would help fix a black screen issue I had with a game. Now, the NVIDIA entry is completely gone, and I only have Intel (R) UHD Graphics 620 showing up. The game is still black screening, and I'm getting an error about needing a Vulkan 1.2 GPA driver. I'm worried that if I can't get NVIDIA back, I'll have problems with other applications, too. I tried redownloading NVIDIA drivers and running the installation, but every time I do, I get error messages saying that I need an adapter or driver. I'm really looking for any advice on how to get NVIDIA reinstalled and fix these issues. Thanks!

I recommend using the Display Driver Uninstaller (DDU) to wipe out any leftover NVIDIA files that might be causing issues. You can get it from Guru3D. After that, if you let me know what GPU you had, I can help you find the right driver to download. If it's a 20, 30, 40, or 50 series, I have the link you’ll need.
First off, try using Device Manager to scan for hardware changes. Sometimes, rebooting your PC can help too, and it might show up as an unknown device. If it doesn’t, double-check that you’ve downloaded the correct drivers for your NVIDIA card and try the installation again. That might do the trick!
When I tried doing that, I got a message saying "An NVIDIA graphics card was not detected in your software." It’s really frustrating!

I tried to see which GPU I have, and the control panel won't open because it says "graphics card was not detected in software." I'm not sure which driver to install!
