I've run into a problem with my laptop after trying to update my Realtek driver. It was really outdated, so I went for a custom version that worked fine initially. However, after restarting my laptop, it looks like secure boot decided to remove the driver altogether! Now I can't connect to Wi-Fi on my machine. Is there any way to fix this issue, or have I just turned my laptop into a really expensive brick?

You could also try connecting your phone to your computer for Wi-Fi via USB tethering. This should help you download the default drivers you need to get your Wi-Fi working again. Alternatively, if you have an ethernet cord, that could help too.
You might want to try turning off secure boot in your UEFI settings. Honestly, I'm not sure how much it actually benefits a personal machine that isn't part of a company setup anyway.
