I just upgraded my setup with a new motherboard, CPU, CPU cooler, and RAM, but now I'm facing a DRAM error when I turn it on. I've got two RAM sticks installed in slots 1 and 3 (the black ones). Would switching them to slots 2 and 4 (the grey ones) help? The CPU cooler I got is pretty hefty, so space is tight for making any changes. For context, I took the CMOS battery from my old motherboard. My previous CPU was Intel, and the new one is an AMD Ryzen 5 9600X. I'm using an Asus TUF Gaming B650 Plus WiFi motherboard and new G.Skill DDR5 6000 RAM (32GB total, unsure if that's each stick or combined). Oh, and the cooler I got is the Peerless Assassin 120 SE.

You'll probably need to update the BIOS to get the CPU fully compatible. It won't boot until you do. Check your motherboard manual for instructions on updating through a USB without booting. And make sure to use the new battery; don’t go back to the old one, as it’s not the cause of the error.
Have you checked if the RAM sticks are working properly? Try booting with just one stick at a time to see if both are good. Also, my B650 needed a BIOS update for the Ryzen 9600X to function correctly, so that could be something to look into!
I removed the RAM from slot 3 and saw no change. But when I tried just one stick in slot 2, it worked! I think I’m on the right track. Thanks for your help!
Everything is brand new except my case, graphics card, and SSD, but yeah, technically I guess they could be defective.
I read somewhere that using the old battery could revert BIOS settings, and I thought since the old one had charge, it might help.
