Help! I’m getting a D3D device lost error when trying to play Sirenhead

I've been wanting to play Sirenhead since it gained popularity in 2020, but every time I try to launch the game, it starts with the intro and then just goes to a black screen. I get an error message saying that Unreal Engine 4 is closing due to a 'D3D device being lost.' I've looked for fixes online, but nothing seems to work. It's so frustrating, and I feel like I'm just not getting anywhere. If anyone has a solution for this issue, I'd really appreciate your help!

Have you checked if your graphics drivers are up to date? Sometimes, D3D device errors can be caused by outdated drivers. Try updating them and see if that helps. Also, make sure your game settings are not set too high for your hardware. Lowering the graphics settings might help too!

You might want to try verifying the game files if you're playing through a platform like itch.io. Corrupt game files can also lead to this kind of issue. There should be an option in the game launcher to verify files, just check that out.

If none of those work, try running the game in windowed mode instead of fullscreen. Sometimes, switching display modes can help with D3D-related errors. Good luck!
