Hey everyone! I just finished building my first PC with an Asus B650-Plus Wifi motherboard, a Ryzen 7 9700x processor, and an RTX 5070 graphics card. Everything powers on and seems to be functioning, but I'm getting no display on my monitor. I've tried a bunch of troubleshooting tips from various sources, like making sure that my HDMI/DisplayPort cables are properly connected to the GPU and attempting a BIOS flash, but I can't confirm if that worked. I've also checked the connections throughout the PC. I'm a total newbie at PC building, so I'd really appreciate any advice you have! I know I've seen similar questions, but I figured I'd share my own situation and ask for help.

You really need to check if the BIOS update was successful. The B650 motherboard only supports the 9700x with a specific BIOS version and higher. Also, check for any LED indications on the motherboard that could help you troubleshoot if there's an issue.

I did attempt to update the BIOS as mentioned before, but I can't really tell if it worked. The LEDs blink for about 10 seconds and then turn solid green without going off. I used the latest downloads from the Asus website for my board.

One thing you might want to try is reseating your RAM. Sometimes just taking them out and putting them back in helps. If you have a pencil eraser, you can even clean the contacts on the RAM sticks themselves before installing them back. It might sound odd, but it’s worth a shot! Also, if your motherboard has four RAM slots and you're using two sticks, make sure they're installed in slots 1 and 3.

Good point! I had a similar issue, and reseating my RAM made all the difference. Just make sure they're snug in place.
