Help Me Build a New Gaming PC

I've been using my old LGA 1155 PC for about a decade now 😂 and I'm ready to make the jump to LGA 1851. I'm looking for a good combination of motherboard, RAM, and CPU that can handle gaming at 1440p. My budget is around $600, but I'm a bit flexible on that. Any recommendations?

Honestly, RAM prices are pretty wild right now; you're looking at $400-600 for decent kits. If you're set on Intel, check out the 14900K on the LGA 1700 socket—it actually performs better for gaming compared to the newer LGA 1851 options.

If you’re flexible on the socket, maybe explore the LGA 1700 options instead. The Core Ultra processors are decent, but some say the previous gen might still give you better bang for your buck. Just be prepared for the price of components; it’s a tough market!

Going for LGA 1851 might not be the best choice right now. It's kind of seen as a dead-end by some because newer options are already out there. Maybe consider AM5 if you want a solid upgrade path? You can look into the Ryzen 7 7800X3D paired with a B650E motherboard for a strong gaming experience.
