Hey everyone! I'm pretty new to the world of computer parts and could really use some guidance. Right now, I'm in need of a new processor because everything I've read suggests that my current one is an embedded model. This means I'd also need a new motherboard to replace it.

I want to upgrade my setup gradually since some of my components are still decent. My goal is to run newer games on low settings and older ones on high. Here's what I'm working with:

- **CPU:** AMD Ryzen 5 PRO 2400GE with Radeon Vega Graphics
- **Motherboard:** ASRock b450M-HDV R 4.0
- **Memory:** 32 GB DDR4
- **GPU:** NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660 Super
- **OS:** Windows 10

I've recently picked up TESIV: Oblivion Remastered and want to ensure I can play it at minimal settings. I'm unsure about what specific parts to buy, where to find them, or how to ensure compatibility with my remaining components. Thanks in advance for your help!

Your ASRock b450M-HDV R 4.0 motherboard supports up to the Ryzen 5000 series CPUs, so you can definitely upgrade without ditching the whole board. The term 'embedded' is a bit misleading here; you can replace your current CPU without problems. For your GPU, I suggest aiming for something like the 3070 Ti, but saving a bit more for an AM5 setup could be a good future-proofing move.

I recommend sticking with your current motherboard and RAM. There’s no need for a BIOS update at this stage. Look into getting a Ryzen 5700X3D or even the 5800X3D for a solid upgrade. Also, you'll need a stronger GPU – let us know your budget for that! Oh, and check your PSU’s wattage and model; that’ll be essential too.

What's your budget for the CPU? That'll help narrow down some options. If you can keep it around $150, there are decent choices available. Just keep in mind that some parts can get pricey, so you might need to save a bit longer for the best options.
