I'm about to build my dream PC with a Ryzen 7 7700, and I'm torn between two GPUs: the RTX 5060 Ti 16GB Eagle Ice and the RTX 5070 12GB. I'm leaning towards the 16GB version for future-proofing, especially since I want to run games at 1440p on low settings. However, I've seen that the 5070 has significantly better frame rates in benchmarks. The pricing on both cards is the same, so I'm looking for advice on which GPU I should go with. Thanks in advance!

I recommend looking into the Radeon 9070 if you're open to it. It's a beast and should handle future games well. Just be sure to get it close to MSRP because availability might be an issue.
If both GPUs are the same price, I'd definitely go with the 5070. It offers about 38% better performance overall, which is a big deal, especially for gaming at 1440p. Even though the 5060 Ti has more VRAM, most games right now won't fully utilize that extra memory. Plus, the 5070 will likely hold up better for longer as game requirements increase.
I was going to grab the 9070 XT too, but it sold out before I could get my hands on one!
