I'm trying to decide between two PC builds for gaming. The first option has an Intel i7-8700K paired with an RTX 3060 Ti, while the second option features a Ryzen 5 5500 with an RTX 3050. I'm particularly interested in how they would perform for games like Red Dead Redemption 2, Valorant, CS:GO 2, Fortnite, and Rainbow Six Siege. Which setup do you think would provide better performance overall?

If both builds are priced the same and you don't plan on upgrading your setup later, go for the i7-8700K build. It should give you better overall performance right now. However, if you're someone who likes to tinker and think you might upgrade in the future, the second build with the Ryzen 5 5500 might be more beneficial. Honestly, since you're asking here, it's probably safer to stick with the first option just to avoid any complications.
But isn't the RTX 3050 more expensive? Also, isn't the 8700K considered old?
