Help Me Choose My First PC Build

Hey everyone! I'm about to buy my first PC and I could really use some guidance. I've saved up around $3000, but I need to be mindful of my university expenses too since I'm almost finished with my first year. I'm not sure where to start—should I get a prebuilt PC or consider building one myself? What specs should I aim for? Also, I'm curious about how to keep it clean and maintained. I thought about Starforge, but I've heard mixed reviews. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated!

First off, are you looking to play games only or do you have other tasks in mind like video editing or running AI models? If it’s just for gaming, a setup with an AMD 9800x3d CPU and a RTX 5070ti GPU is solid. But if you plan to do more than gaming, consider the RX 9070xt; it's great for multitasking too. For the rest, get an AM5 chipset motherboard, 32GB of DDR5 RAM, and a 1000W power supply to leave room for upgrades. This spec wouldn't be overkill and is a good investment.
