I'm looking to build my first PC and need some guidance on selecting the right parts. I'm considering a B660 motherboard and a decent CPU and GPU. I currently have options for the Intel Core i5-2400F and either the NVIDIA RTX 3060 or 4060, which I've found at reduced prices. I've heard that Windows 11 requires quite a bit of RAM, so I'm thinking about going with DDR5 memory since I've heard it's good. My plan is to start with a 500 GB SSD to keep costs down, with the idea of upgrading to a larger 1TB or 2TB SSD later on.
I'm not great at researching components, so I'm unsure if these selections are compatible or effective together. I know I need more parts but I'm not exactly sure what else I might need. My budget is around $700-$800. Any suggestions on specific parts or tips on what I should get for a solid build would be really appreciated. Also, if anyone can provide advice on selecting a monitor, that would be immensely helpful!

If you can, try to hold off on purchasing until prices stabilize, but I totally get wanting to plan ahead. Keep an eye on deals as your purchase date approaches!
Look for deals on a motherboard and RAM, especially places like Newegg. Due to current pricing, it might be harder to build right now, so be strategic about when you buy.
If you can, save up a bit more and aim for at least $1,200. Grab a 32GB DDR5 kit now if possible since prices are rising. As for CPUs, check out AMD’s AM5 processors, they’re a good choice! And make sure to get a solid PSU, aim for 850W at least. Choices like cases and fans can be personal, so go for what suits your style!
Great tips, thanks! I really appreciate the advice!
Honestly, it’s a rough time to buy components right now due to price hikes, especially with RAM. Where are you located, and where do you plan to shop? Factors like local deals can really help you save.
I'm in Egypt and was thinking about checking out a local computer mall where a lot of people buy their parts. It’s more of a casual place.

Yeah, I was hoping to gather a list now and buy in March, but I worry about prices going up!
