Help Me Choose the Right GPU for VR Gaming!

I'm currently exploring options for a new graphics card since my 3050 Ti 4GB just isn't cutting it for VR gaming. I'm considering either the 4060 8GB or the 3060 12GB. Which one would be the better choice? Also, is VRAM more critical than speed when it comes to gaming performance?

If you're thinking about the 4060, you might want to look into the 5060 as well. It's similar in price and offers slightly better performance. Depending on where you are, the market might vary, so definitely do some research. Honestly, the jump from the 3050 Ti to either card isn't huge, so consider going for a stronger GPU to future-proof your setup.

I get that! My 3050 really struggles with modern games due to the lack of VRAM. I'm inching towards the 3070 since it seems better than both the 3060 and 4060. I’ve seen some people sell their whole 3070 builds for around $700, and I could always part those out for a future upgrade.

If you’re mainly gaming at 1080p, I'd recommend going for the 4060 8GB. If you can find a 9060 XT 8GB for under $280, that might be a good option too. However, I’d really suggest the 9060 XT 16GB if you can swing it, since it'll definitely last longer and is better suited for 1440p.

I was actually aiming for the 9060 XT too, but they’re just not available in my price range. I think I'm leaning towards a 3070 now.

I'd say the 4060 is a better pick since the 3060 with 12GB can't even utilize all that VRAM effectively.
