I'm looking to buy an NVMe SSD to transfer my Steam library from an old HDD. Currently, I'm considering three options: the Crucial P3, Crucial P3 Plus, and Crucial P310. My motherboard only supports PCI-E 3.0, meaning the P3 Plus and P310 will perform slower for now, but I might upgrade to PCI-E 4.0 later. If I go with the Crucial P310, should I opt for the version with a heatsink or not? Additionally, are there any alternatives in the same price range? Lastly, is there anything specific I should know about QLC SSDs? Thanks for your help!

Does your motherboard have a built-in heatsink? Honestly, any of these options will give you a similar performance based on what you plan to do with them. Just keep that in mind!
QLC drives aren't ideal for heavy writing tasks, but they're perfect for storing your Steam library. If you're set on Crucial, consider that there are better TLC options available at similar prices, like the TeamGroup MP44L or Klevv CRAS C910.
