Hey everyone,

I made a pretty impulsive decision and sold my PC yesterday. Now, I'm left with looming deadlines and desperately need your guidance on building a new productivity-focused setup. This is only my second build, and I'm really second-guessing my choices. Here's what I'm working with and what I need:

### My Use Cases:
- 3D modeling and rendering (using Fusion 360, Blender, KeyShot)
- Photo editing in Lightroom and Photoshop
- Video editing with DaVinci Resolve
- Occasional gaming
- I want it to be as quiet as possible.
- I prefer a sleek black aesthetic with minimal RGB (maybe just on the RAM).

### Current Parts List:
I found a PCPartPicker list that looks like this:
- **CPU**: AMD Ryzen 9 9900X 4.4 GHz (€389.00)
- **CPU Cooler**: ARCTIC Liquid Freezer III Pro (€72.98)
- **Motherboard**: ASRock B850M Pro-A WiFi (€149.90)
- **Memory**: G.Skill Trident Z5 Neo RGB 64 GB (2 x 32 GB) (€219.90)
- **Storage**: Samsung 990 Pro 2 TB NVMe SSD (€157.90)
- **Video Card**: Asus PRIME OC GeForce RTX 5070 (12 GB) (€579.00)
- **Case**: NZXT H3 Flow MicroATX (€69.90)
- **Power Supply**: be quiet! Pure Power 13 M 850 W (Gold Certified) (€139.41)
- **Case Fans**: ARCTIC P12 Pro 5-Pack (€28.49)
- **Total**: **€1806.48**

### Areas Where I Need Help:
- I was initially leaning towards Intel's 13th/14th gen but got concerned about the CPU failures. Is the AMD 9900X a good choice for productivity, or should I consider the Core Ultra 265K?
- I'm anxious about the ASRock motherboard due to some scary stories I read. Should I switch to ASUS or MSI instead?
- A buddy told me that RTX 50 series prices might drop soon due to overstock and poor reviews. Should I wait it out and use integrated graphics, or would that be counterproductive?
- Am I overspending on the CPU while underestimating the GPU? Does my budget split make sense?
- Is 64GB of RAM overkill, or do I really need it for my tasks? I could potentially drop to 32GB for savings.
- Finally, is going all-new the best approach, or should I consider older generations for better value?
- Should I stick with this Micro ATX setup for aesthetics and compactness, or would a full ATX build like the Fractal Epoch provide better cooling and noise performance?

I have to make a decision this weekend. Please let me know what you think. I'd much rather hear your honest opinions now than regret it later! Thanks a ton, everyone!

It sounds like you have a solid list going! Given your use cases, I’d stick with the AMD Ryzen 9 9900X; it’s great for productivity tasks like 3D modeling and video editing. Just make sure to choose a reliable motherboard brand, so if you’re worried about ASRock, go for ASUS or MSI for peace of mind.
Also, don’t forget to double-check VRM quality for stability!

Totally agree. AMD chips tend to perform better in multi-threaded tasks, which is perfect for software like Blender and DaVinci. Plus, the 9900X has a solid reputation; you should be fine!

Thanks! I’ll definitely explore ASUS and MSI boards!
