I'm feeling really overwhelmed with picking components for my first PC build. I want to ensure I can achieve a stable 240fps in demanding FPS games without going overboard. I'm considering going for a Ryzen 7800X3D from Aliexpress for around $300 along with a 9060 XT 16GB. However, I'm also thinking about playing it safe with a Ryzen 5 9600X for about $250 paired with a 9060. My total budget is 1800 AUD (about 1.21k USD), and I could really use your advice!

Buying a CPU from Aliexpress is quite a bold move, but if your monitor can handle 240fps, then maybe consider that first before investing too much in the processor. It's important to have the right setup to utilize that power!
If you can swing the better GPU with the 7800X3D, I'd say go for it! Just make sure to buy from a seller that has plenty of reviews and a solid reputation on Aliexpress.

My monitor does support 240fps. And not all Aliexpress sellers are sketchy—many get direct shipments from AMD, so it’s not a total gamble!
