Hey everyone! I'm excited to be building my very first PC and would love your input on my current build. I've gathered some components based on several online guides, and here's the link: [PCPartPicker Build](https://pcpartpicker.com/list/w42Vgn). My budget is pretty flexible, and I'm willing to spend up to $2,000 if necessary, although I'm happy with my current configuration around $1,500 for now. I want to ensure it can run Red Dead Redemption 2 at 1440p with 144hz. Any thoughts on my build or general tips for building PCs? I'd really appreciate any advice you can offer! Thanks a lot!

Your overall build looks decent, but I’d strongly recommend AM5 and DDR5 for future-proofing since AM5 will be supported until 2027. If you plan to upgrade later, you won’t need to swap out your motherboard, just the CPU and GPU. The 9070XT is a fantastic GPU for 1440p gaming, so consider that too. For your combo, a B650 motherboard should work just fine. As for SSDs, the SN850X is a great choice that’s cheaper than the Samsung models. Don’t forget about a good cooling solution, whether it’s air cooling or an AIO liquid cooler that fits your style!
Definitely check out the Thermaltake Toughpower GF3 750W for your power supply; it's a reliable option (Tier A+)! For the CPU, pair the Ryzen 7 7700 (about $215) with the Gigabyte Aorus X670 Elite. Look for fast DDR5 RAM (6000MT/S) to keep everything in sync and running smooth.
Thanks so much for the suggestions!
For the monitor, I recommend the Arzopa 1440p 180hz which is priced at about $130. It's a great choice for gaming. If you're looking to go with AM5, consider this RAM (DDR5 32GB 6000MT/S CL30) for optimal performance and also look into the RX 7700 XT as it’s a solid GPU option right now, especially since it comes with a free game!
Free game?? That's awesome!
Thanks a lot for the insights! I'm curious, why are GPUs so expensive these days? Is the quality really that much better?
