Hey everyone! I'm building my first desktop and I've only used Windows XP, 7, and 10 in the past. Since Windows 10 is losing support and I'm not a fan of Windows 11, I've decided to switch to Linux for this build. A friend mentioned a distro with a zebra in the logo, but that's all he could remember! I could really use your help to identify it. Plus, I'm open to other distro suggestions. I'm considering something based on Debian since I've heard mixed reviews about Arch Linux. Any ideas?

What do you plan to do with your new system? Are you looking for something that's user-friendly, or are you ready to dive into the nitty-gritty? Also, what hardware are you thinking about?

I don’t have any hardware yet, but I want to build an AMD-based setup. I’d prefer something straightforward, but I know I’ll need to learn a bit since I’ll be using Steam, Discord, and other gaming tools. I'm also into modding games and using programs like GIMP for D&D. I used to use Firefox and Chrome, so I’m familiar with those.
