Hey everyone! I'm building my first PC and I'm really excited about it, but I could use some advice to make sure I've got everything sorted out. I'm aiming for an all-AMD system for better Linux compatibility, with a budget under €1000-€1200, and all of it needs to fit into a mATX case (specifically the Lian Li A3-mATX).
Here are my requirements:
- Keep the budget under €1000-€1200
- Full AMD setup
- The case is a Lian Li A3-mATX
- I need a motherboard with built-in WiFi (or just an extra PCI slot for a WiFi card, what's better? Also, having Bluetooth and USB-C would be awesome)
I'm a bit worried about a few things:
1. Will all my components fit in the Lian Li A3-mATX case?
2. Is heat or noise going to be a problem in such a compact case?
3. Am I maximizing my budget with this setup, or am I missing any obvious components?
Any help on compatibility, cooling solutions, noise levels, or just general advice would really mean a lot to me! Thanks in advance! 😊

Going for a 2TB drive from the start would save you the hassle of swapping drives later. A GPU with triple fans may provide better cooling too. Lower-profile RAM is a good call as it will fit better without needing to adjust your cooler's fan. Regarding the motherboard, a sturdier VRM design will help if you ever plan to upgrade your CPU down the line. Your case should handle cooling fine, given you have a decent cooler and your GPU can pull in cool air from the bottom. Just my thoughts as your core setup looks good!
Also, keep in mind the NV3 uses QLC flash for its storage.
Your build looks solid, but I recommend upgrading to a 2TB storage drive instead of just 1TB. Modern games can take up a lot of space, and it’s much easier to manage if you have one large drive instead of having to deal with swapping out SSDs later on.
Thanks for the advice!
Consider getting lower-profile RAM; the current Patriot kit may be too tall to fit under your cooler. Everything else looks great, though, so hard to find much to improve on when it comes to value!
Thanks! Do you know of a good alternative for me?
Thank you so much! I really appreciate the motherboard suggestions, and thanks for the RAM tip! However, I'm a bit concerned about fit issues with the triple fan 9060 compared to the dual fan.
