Help Me Select Components for My First Gaming PC Under $1750

I'm diving into building my first gaming PC after years of using gaming laptops. I've got a budget of $1750, and I've already set aside extra cash for SSD and RAM. I'm looking for some recommendations on CPU and GPU while accounting for the rest of the necessary parts like the motherboard, power supply, cooling fan, and case. I want to use it mainly for gaming and doing some MS Office work. I'm not into rendering or mining, and I won't bother with ray tracing. I generally play a mix of indie and AAA games at 1440p, and I'm hoping to future-proof my build for around 7-8 years. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

I'd recommend going with an AMD Ryzen 7 5800X3D and NVIDIA RTX 4070 combo. It might be slightly overkill, but it would definitely future-proof your setup for those 7-8 years. Just make sure to get a solid power supply and maybe look into getting some used parts if you want to stretch the budget further.

But you should also consider that prices for older components can fluctuate. New options like the RX 9070 XT might offer better value right now.

If you want something powerful, consider an AMD Ryzen 5 7600X CPU paired with the MSI 5070 Ti GPU. You can find some good deals at places like Microcenter to save on a monitor, which will keep costs down. This combination should work well for 1440p gaming and is performant for the price!

I’d suggest a slightly different route. Let’s keep performance in check with the Ryzen 5 5600X and RX 6700 XT—best bang for your buck. This combo will still deliver well in 1440p without breaking the bank!

That does sound like a solid option, especially if you're looking to save a bit more for other crucial components.
