I'm an intermediate Linux user and I'm really eager to fully migrate from Windows to Linux. My daily driver is a Lenovo X13 Gen 2 which is compatible with Linux, yet I keep hitting some frustrating issues that make it hard to switch. Specifically, the trackpad performance is far below what I'm used to on Windows; scrolling just doesn't feel right no matter the distribution or desktop environment I choose. I'm having a tough time finding the right adjustments to make it work as I expect. Another major issue is the awful sound quality across different audio output setups. I've tried various distributions and audio servers like PipeWire and PulseAudio but can't seem to fix the sound issues. I want to make Linux work for me, but I'm feeling a bit lost. Any advice on how to tackle these problems would be greatly appreciated!

It sounds like your laptop drivers might be the key here. Lenovo often uses proprietary components that don’t always play nice with Linux out of the box. I suggest checking Lenovo's support page for any Linux drivers or updates specifically for your model. The 'it just works' vibe you get from Windows is usually because they handle this background work for you. Also, don’t hesitate to browse distro forums for specific workarounds that might help with your hardware.
That’s a great call! I hadn’t thought about checking for manufacturer support. I’ll dive into Lenovo’s support and see if there’s anything uploaded recently!
