I'm having a strange issue with my Windows 11 computer. Whenever I boot it up, Microsoft Edge automatically opens, even though I've disabled it in the startup settings. If I try to close it using Task Manager, it just reopens right away. I also get a notification saying 'Programs using location: Microsoft Edge' at the bottom right. Additionally, I've noticed 'Microsoft Remote Desktop Connection' in the Control Panel's Uninstall menu, but I never installed it. The only things I have installed are Steam, Brave browser, and Discord, and I haven't even used Microsoft Edge except to download another browser. Does this sound like I might have a virus? Any advice would be appreciated!

Just a heads up, 'Microsoft Remote Desktop Connection' is a standard issue on Windows devices, so that part is usually nothing to worry about. However, the Edge issue does raise some red flags. I'd recommend following some malware removal guides online, just to be thorough.
It sounds like you might be dealing with some malware or a weird glitch. As a first step, check your startup programs in Task Manager and try disabling Microsoft Edge from there just in case it’s not turning off properly. Also, consider running a malware scan using a good antivirus program to see if anything's lurking on your system. It’s always better to be safe!
Yeah, I had a similar issue once, and a thorough scan helped clear it up. Don't forget to check your browser extensions too!
Thanks for clarifying about Remote Desktop! I'll definitely look into those malware guides.
