I'm experiencing some strange mouse behavior while connecting to my local PC using Remote Desktop. Specifically, left and right clicks aren't functioning properly in various scenarios. For instance, I can't left-click on any icons in the taskbar or access the address bar in Windows Explorer. While I can right-click to open context menus, I'm unable to select any options from them. Interestingly, dragging desktop icons works without any issues, and double-clicking them opens the associated applications just fine. After some time, it suddenly began working again, but I have no idea what caused the initial problem. Any advice on this?

I had a similar problem, but it turned out to be related to some background processes conflicting with the RDP session. You might want to check for any running applications that could be interfering with mouse inputs.
Thanks for the suggestions, but it actually started working again on its own after about 30 minutes. Not sure what changed. Might have just needed a little time with the session or a reboot.
Have you checked if there's a firewall enabled that might be causing some issues with your remote session? Sometimes security settings can interfere with input signals during RDP connections.
