Help! My “A” Key Needs to Be Pressed with Others to Work

Good morning everyone! I have a Lenovo IdeaPad Gaming 3 15IHU6, and I'm facing a frustrating issue with my keyboard. The "a" key on my AZERTY layout no longer responds when pressed alone; it only works if I press it simultaneously with another key, like tab or shift. I've already tried updating all my drivers and even reinstalling the keyboard drivers, but the problem persists. Could this be a mechanical issue? Is replacing the keyboard my only option? I wanted to get some advice before making any big decisions. Thanks for your help!

Honestly, it could just be that it’s a Lenovo IdeaPad thing. They’ve had their fair share of keyboard problems. Replacing the keyboard might solve it, but exploring the software side a bit more first might save you some hassle.

It sounds like it might be a software issue rather than a hardware one since the key works in combination with others. Have you tried checking Windows PowerToys? It might have some unusual key configuration set that you can tweak.
