I'm building my first PC and I've hit a snag. I've got a cooler, the AIO ID-Cooling FX360 INF, but the backplate doesn't fit my motherboard, the B850 Aorus Elite WiFi7 Ice. The backplate is way too square for my rectangular motherboard. I was excited to go all pink with my build, and now I'm concerned I might have bought an incompatible cooler. Does anyone have advice or insight on this situation?

Also, double-check that you're using the correct backplate for your socket. Some coolers have multiple mounting systems, so it could just be a matter of switching brackets. And congrats on your build!
It sounds like your cooler came with instructions that likely mention which backplate to use. You should definitely check those! If it's a standard Intel cooler, it might not be compatible with your AM5 motherboard if it's not the right type. Make sure to review the manual carefully to see what it says about the backplate.
Yeah, but sometimes the manuals only contain diagrams, which can be confusing. It's tough to know what fits unless it’s super clear.
Good point! I've had to swap out brackets on my builds too. It can be a pain, but double-checking everything really helps.
