Hey everyone! I got an Apple Watch for free from a friend, but it's stuck on the activation lock. He mentioned that he no longer has access to his Apple ID or the email linked to it since he switched to Samsung. We're unsure what to do next. He might have a receipt or something that could help, but we're not sure if that's enough. We tried entering a password and email that he thinks he used, but no luck. Can anyone guide us on how to retrieve the serial code or IMEI? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Before anything, check if he deactivated his iCloud. If he still has access to the phone number linked to the Apple ID, he might still be able to recover the account without the email. If neither of those is an option, unfortunately, the watch might not be usable. It's worth checking with Apple support if there's anything they can do, especially if he has a receipt.
