Hey everyone! I've been struggling with a really frustrating issue for several years now. My computer keeps crashing and displaying BSODs like "IRQL NOT LESS OR EQUAL" and "KERNEL SECURITY CHECK FAILURE." I've already replaced 2 of my 4 RAM sticks, and I tested each one, but it still crashes. I've even upgraded to Windows 11, thinking a fresh start would help, but no luck! I've tried updating all my drivers multiple times, yet the crashes persist. I've been battling this since 2019. Can anyone shed some light on what might be going wrong with my computer? I'm happy to provide more info if needed!

First off, you’ll want to get those dump files for better troubleshooting. If you can boot into Windows normally or even Safe Mode, check the folder at C:WindowsMinidump for any crash logs. If you find some, zip them up and upload them to a file-sharing service. The more dump files you have, the easier it’ll be to pinpoint the issue. If you need help on how to set this up, check out some guides online for configuring minidumps.

Have you tried updating your BIOS? Sometimes, an outdated BIOS can cause BSOD issues and updating it, along with the chipset, might just do the trick. I know it sounds a bit scary, but if done carefully, it shouldn’t cause problems. Just make sure to back up your data before you proceed!

Is it really dangerous to update the BIOS? I’ve heard it can lead to data loss, and I’m not totally clear on what updating the chipset even involves. Do I really need a USB for this?
