I need some help with my computer. Whenever I try to turn it on, it starts up for a few moments and then the fans begin to slow down before it shuts off completely. I've cleaned it out and let it cool down, but that hasn't solved the issue. Any advice?

Sounds like you might need to do a hard reset. Unplug everything, hold down the power button for about 10 seconds, then try booting it up again.
Have you checked for any beeping sounds or lights on the motherboard when you try to start it up? That could give a clue about what's wrong.
The smoky smell from the fans is concerning. You should check if the fans are clogged or if there might be something burning inside. You should definitely remove the RAM sticks and try booting with just one to see if that makes a difference. If not, consider testing with a different power supply or taking it to a repair shop.
