Hey everyone, my computer's default search engine is set to Google on Chrome, but it keeps switching to Yahoo, which I really dislike. I've tried resetting my search engine settings multiple times, but the issue persists. I've read that McAfee may be causing this issue, and while I've deleted it because it was super annoying, it seems like it's still affecting my system. Any suggestions on how to stop Yahoo from being my default search engine? I'm really frustrated!

You should definitely uninstall McAfee completely. It's notorious for sticking around even after you think you've removed it. Check your programs to make sure there are no remnants left. Most people report it's pretty useless anyway.
McAfee can be a real pain to uninstall sometimes. There might be leftover files on your machine. You can follow these guides to help get it all off:
1. McAfee's own support page for uninstallation.
2. A Microsoft help article that deals with stubborn instances.
3. A report on how to deal with search engine changes due to McAfee.
I checked and found some leftovers. Really was only the McAfee browser part, what a hassle!
But how do I actually get it off my computer? I thought I deleted it, but it keeps popping up.
