I updated my computer overnight, and now all my saved documents look like they're written in hieroglyphics. I'm running an Intel Core i5 with Windows 10. Is there a way to get things back to normal?

First off, what file format are your documents saved in? Are you using a specific program to open them? That could be where the issue lies.
Have you checked if you had autosave enabled or if there are older versions available? Sometimes updates can mess up files, but you might be able to restore them.
Make sure you're opening your files in the right program. If you're using Notepad for DOCX files, it might not display them correctly since Notepad isn't meant for those formats.
