Help! My Fingerprint Reader Isn’t Available on My HP Probook G11

I'm having trouble with the fingerprint reader on my HP Probook 440 G11. I thought it came with a fingerprint feature, but I can't set it up because it says it's not available. I've already downloaded the fingerprint driver and checked the BIOS but couldn't find anything related to the fingerprint option. I'm wondering if anyone has suggestions on how to troubleshoot this issue. For reference, my OS build number is 26100.6584.

It sounds like the fingerprint reader might not actually be installed on your laptop. According to HP, the fingerprint reader is an optional feature that you needed to configure at the time of purchase. You should check your Device Manager to see if the fingerprint reader is listed there. If you don’t see it, it could mean your laptop doesn't have it. Check the model specifications or documentation to confirm if it was included.

Yeah, I checked and I couldn't find anything in Device Manager either. I bought this laptop used, so I'm not sure if the previous owner opted for that feature.
