I'm having trouble with my friend's PC since it keeps freezing up, sometimes leading to a Blue Screen of Death (BSOD) and other times just freezing with no errors. From my experience in PC building and fixing, I've tried numerous solutions, but nothing seems to work. This issue tends to recur about every three months for a week, and then it goes back to normal. Here's what I've ruled out: it's not overheating, I doubt the RAM since there's no BSOD shown, and the cables seem fine. I'm wondering if it could be due to severe GPU sag, a Windows issue, or possibly the motherboard? Any insights would be greatly appreciated!

It’s worth considering that failing RAM could still be a culprit, so don’t completely dismiss that possibility. It can also be an issue with the SSD or hard drive, or maybe even a Windows glitch. Have you run into any specific patterns like a certain software causing crashes? Also, a bit more info on the PC specs might help. What version of Windows are you using?
After more testing, we think it might actually be the power supply unit (PSU). It runs fine under high loads but crashes during medium usage, which sounds like it might be PSU related.

We ran some diagnostics using sfc /scannow and DISM commands. It’s updated to the latest version of Windows 11, and the specs are i7 1070, 1660 Super, and 16 GB of RAM. It seems to freeze under moderate pressure; my friend can’t even stream YouTube without it stalling!
