Help! My Gaming PC Is Overheating and Shutting Down Randomly

Hey everyone, I'm in a bit of a tough spot with my gaming rig. I built this computer about two years ago with an i9-13900K, RTX 4090, 64GB DDR5, and a pretty solid Z790 PG Lightning motherboard, plus a Corsair RM1000x power supply. It has a decent cooling setup with 10 fans in total (3 in front, 3 at the bottom, and 4 out) and an AIO cooler. Everything was running smoothly until recently. Now, I'm facing random blue screens of death (BSOD), unexpected game crashes, and my PC just shuts down on me mid-game. I've made sure the BIOS and graphics are up-to-date, and I even reseated my cooler multiple times with fresh thermal paste. Idle temperatures seem fine at around 34C, but the CPU hits a staggering 100C just minutes into playing any game. I've limited the power settings in the BIOS, but it hasn't helped. I'm open to any advice or tips on what could be going wrong. Thanks!

Have you tried checking for dump files? They can really help analyze what might be causing those BSODs. If you can access Windows, check the C:WindowsMinidump folder for any files. You can zip them and upload them to a file sharing site for better diagnostics. Multiple files would be great to work with, so don't worry if you don't have many yet.

It sounds like you're definitely dealing with an overheating issue. First off, ensure that all your fans are working correctly when you start gaming. If they stop or slow down, that could be a problem. It's also a good idea to check if your heatsinks are clogged with dust, which can restrict airflow. Lastly, think about the airflow in your case. Is there a chance that hot air is getting trapped inside? That could lead to the CPU overheating during gaming sessions.
