Hey everyone! I recently bought a refurbished Gigabyte AMD Radeon 7800 XT GPU and followed some steps to ensure a smooth installation:
- I used DDU to uninstall the Nvidia drivers while in Safe Mode.
- I downloaded the appropriate AMD drivers.
- I swapped my old GPU for the new one.
However, I'm encountering an issue where there's a white light on the motherboard labeled VGA, which typically means that the GPU is not detected, not seated correctly, or there's a connection problem. I'm using two separate PCIe cables from the PSU to the GPU without daisy-chaining, so I don't think that's the issue. The seller stated the GPU was tested and should work fine. I've also updated my BIOS, but no luck yet. Interestingly, the RGB lights on the GPU turn on, but the fans don't spin at all. Just to note, I did check for compatibility on pcpartpicker, and everything seems fine. I'm transitioning from NVIDIA to AMD, and here's my build link: [https://pcpartpicker.com/list/NvR2gn]. Any ideas on what might be wrong?

Don't forget to reseat the card and ensure your PCIe power cables are securely plugged in! That can sometimes make all the difference.
Have you tried removing the GPU and reinstalling it? Sometimes, a bad connection can cause these issues. It could also be a faulty graphics card, so keep that in mind.
Double-check that the GPU is pushed all the way into the slot. It's easy to screw it down without having it fully seated. Also, do the fans do anything when you power on? And make sure your monitor is connected to the right port (try both HDMI and DisplayPort).
