Help! My GPU Power Cable Won’t Fit Properly

I'm building my first PC and running into a puzzling issue. During the boot test, I'm seeing an error LED related to my GPU. The problem seems to be the cable connecting the PSU to the GPU; it won't go in completely, even though it's the correct cable. I'm working with a Gigabyte 5070 GPU, a ROG Strix B650-A motherboard, and an NZXT C850 power supply. I don't want to force it too much, but it feels like it's just not seating properly. Any suggestions on how to resolve this?

Thanks for the tips! I tried pressing harder on the GPU connector and it seems to be seated now since the error LED is gone and there's a signal to the monitor. However, I now have a new boot error message saying "New CPU installed, fTPM/PSP NV corrupted or fTPM/PSP NV structure changed." What should I do about that?

It sounds like the connector isn't fully inserted. If there's even a small gap between the power supply connector and the GPU, it won't work. It usually requires a good amount of force to get it in, and you should hear a click when it’s seated correctly. Try gently wiggling it while pushing down; that can help. Also, consider switching the ends of the cable, plugging one into the GPU and the other into the PSU to see if that helps.

If that doesn't do the trick, you might want to test your GPU using the included PCIe power adapter. This can help you figure out if the issue lies with the PSU's 12V power cable; if so, you may need to replace the PSU.
