I'm a first-time builder and I'm running into an issue with my setup. After connecting all the power supply unit (PSU) cables and installing my ASUS TUF RTX 5070 GPU, I powered up the PC. The CPU fans started spinning, which seemed promising, but then a solid red light appeared on the GPU, and I'm not getting any video signal through the HDMI port. I read that the red light usually indicates insufficient power. I've double-checked all connections on both the motherboard and PSU, and I made sure to use separate PCIe cables instead of a daisy chain. I even tried mounting the GPU in different PCIe slots, but nothing changed. All the components are brand new, and I verified their compatibility using PC Part Picker. The PSU is a Be Quiet! 12 M 750W, and it meets the recommended wattage for the 5070. I really want to avoid disassembling everything if I can help it, so any suggestions on how to resolve this issue would be greatly appreciated!

It sounds like the red light on your GPU is indicating a power issue. Make sure you're using two separate PCIe cables directly from the PSU to the GPU; avoid daisy-chaining them together. If that doesn’t work, try clearing the CMOS — it can sometimes resolve issues like this. If everything is seated properly and the GPU is still showing the red light, it could be a PSU problem.
Thanks for the advice! Clearing the CMOS actually did the trick, and now I'm getting video on the monitor! The red light is still on when the PC isn’t booted, though. Is that something I should be concerned about?
