I recently bought a motherboard with an i5-2400 and a used mining GPU (RX 470) off Facebook Marketplace. I know the issue isn't from the RAM, PSU, or monitor cables since I've tested those. After installing the RX 470, I ran into driver problems. I tried using some tools like atimdag and ATI Flash to sort it out, and I used DDU in safe mode, which seemed to make the GPU recognized by the system. However, my CPU was constantly maxed out even though it didn't need to be, and the games I tried running had really low FPS. My friend then flashed the original mining BIOS onto the GPU to fix the CPU usage issue, but now the PC only boots for a minute before shutting down. I attempted to use the integrated GPU, but it won't boot at all. After clearing the CMOS, neither the GPU nor the iGPU displays anything. I've been trying to get the GPU to work for days, but I'm stuck. The gaming BIOS flash didn't work for me either because of a subsystem ID mismatch. Any ideas on what I can do next?

It sounds like you went through quite a journey with that GPU! From what you described, it seems like everything was working until you flashed the BIOS, and now it's stuck. Just to clarify things, when you mentioned cables, are you sure the power connectors for the GPU are properly plugged in? Sometimes that can mess things up. Also, can you share what games you're trying to play? Knowing that might help us understand if there's something else going on with your system.
Yeah, it sounds like a mix of driver conflicts and potential BIOS issues. If your CPU is constantly at max, it could be that the GPU isn't being recognized right now. Have you tried booting with just the onboard graphics and removing the RX 470 completely? It might also be worth double-checking all the connections and even trying a different PCIe slot for the GPU just in case. It's frustrating for sure, but sometimes a fresh approach can help.
