Hey everyone! I'm reaching out because I'm having a tough time with my old iPad that's stuck on the Activation Lock screen. Unfortunately, the Find My iPad feature is active, and I've forgotten my Apple ID password. The account is linked to an old phone number and email that I can no longer access. I spoke to Apple Support, and they informed me that since I tried logging in too many times, the account recovery will take 26 days—and they can't do anything to hurry it along. I don't even have the original receipt since it's been years. I really need this iPad for work, and the wait is just not an option! Has anyone dealt with a similar situation and found a way to speed up the process or a workaround if you know the account but can't verify it right away? Just to note, it's a 9th generation iPad. Any advice would be super appreciated!

Honestly, without the receipt, your options are pretty limited. If you could somehow regain access to your old phone number or remember the password, that might help, but Apple Support usually can't speed up this process. Hang in there, it really is a hassle!
Honestly, unless you can verify with your old info, there's no way to accelerate this. You might want to check iforgot.apple.com to see if you can provide any additional information about your old payment method. If you're using this iPad for work, it's best practice to use a work device instead, but if you’re stuck, you might consider buying a new iPad and setting it up with a new account then returning it within the return window to get your money back while you deal with the recovery.
