Help! My iPad Mini is Bricked After Update, What Can I Do?

I have an iPad mini 6 from 2021 with only 64GB of storage, and I was trying to update it through my laptop. I think it got bricked because there wasn't enough storage available to complete the update. I'm really upset since I had a lot of art saved on it, and now it feels like all my editing and projects are gone. Is there anything I can do to recover my iPad or my data?

Have you checked if you have an iCloud backup? It could save you in this situation!

Try plugging your iPad into a Mac and see if you can update it from the Finder. Sometimes that can help when the device gets stuck.

The update won’t work because there’s not enough storage.

Did you happen to back up your iPad before the update? That’s usually a good step to take. If you did, you might be able to restore it from your backup after fixing the issue.

Yes, it backed up automatically on my computer before the update, but I'm not sure how to revert.

If your data is super important, you should be able to erase the device while plugged into a computer and then restore from your backup. Have you tried that?

I did try erasing it, but it didn’t work.
