I've been trying to set up my new iPhone 11, but I'm having trouble. It got stuck while installing iOS 26, so I restarted the phone. Now, I can't enter my password, and when I try to restart it, the screen goes black for a few seconds but doesn't shut down completely. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to fix this?

If you have access to a PC or laptop, you can try putting your iPhone into recovery mode with iTunes. Connect your iPhone to your computer, then quickly press and release the Volume Up button, followed by the Volume Down button. Finally, press and hold the Side button until you see the recovery mode screen. Once you're in recovery mode, select the 'Restore' option in iTunes or Finder to erase the device and restore it to factory settings. That should help you get past the setup issue!
I tried this, but it didn’t recognize that my phone was plugged in. Not sure why that would happen.
How sure are you that your phone is actually new? I had a similar problem with my wife's iPhone 5 a while back that turned out to be because it was modded. They had upgraded the storage, which caused it to get locked at the setup screen during updates. Just a thought!
It’s not new, it’s second hand. I bought from this place before and had no issues, but I think they messed with it a bit. Did you ever find a solution for your wife's phone?
Buddy!
Alright, I’ll give that a go now!
