This morning, my curious kitten decided to walk across my laptop keyboard, and now my cursor is completely gone! I can still navigate using the arrow keys, and when I plugged in a mouse, the cursor came back, but I don't have that mouse for long-term use. I've already tried the CTRL + Win + Shift + B shortcut, but it just beeps at me without any changes. I can't even restart the computer using CTRL + Shift + Delete since that's not an option on the screen. Anyone have any advice on how to get my cursor back on my MSI laptop? It's about a year old and mainly used for school with a ton of important papers on it, so I really want to avoid a full reset.

If you find that using a touchpad is a hassle, consider getting a wireless mouse. They’re pretty affordable, and Logitech makes some reliable options. Just plug in the USB receiver, and you’re all set! Plus, it’ll save you from any further feline-induced tech mishaps.
It sounds like your kitten accidentally disabled the touchpad. On MSI laptops, try pressing the Fn key along with F3 to toggle the touchpad back on. Depending on your model, it could also be Fn + F5 or Fn + F7, so check those as well. Your kitten found a shortcut that most people don’t even know about!

Thanks for the tip! I think a wireless mouse might be a good investment.
