Help! My Laptop Got Hacked and Now It’s Acting Weird

I accidentally clicked on a suspicious link that downloaded a bunch of random browser extensions. After I removed them, I tried running a deep scan with Malwarebytes, but my laptop blue-screened and crashed. Now, when it rebooted, it beeped five times and is showing a keyboard failure. I've already disconnected it from the internet. It's a Dell laptop. Any ideas on what I should do next?

What exactly did you click on? Was it just an accident, or were you on a sketchy site? Knowing this can help figure out how far the infection might have spread.

If you're dealing with potential malware, the first step is to gather some crash logs. You should check for dump files in the C:WindowsMinidump folder. Try booting into Windows or Safe Mode, and look for those files. Once you find them, zip the folder and upload it to a file hosting site like Catbox or Mediafire. If you only have one or none, just upload what you have and follow a guide to change the dump type to Small Memory Dump for better analysis. This will help diagnose the blue screen issue.

Honestly, wiping everything and reinstalling your operating system is probably your best bet. Make sure to reset or change all the passwords for the accounts you used on that laptop, and enable two-factor authentication afterward. Don’t connect it back to the internet until you’re completely done with the reinstall.
